Pamplona is the historical capital city of Navarre (Spain). It is in the north of the country.

The city is famous worldwide for the running of the bulls during the San Fermin festival, which is annually from 6 to 14 of July. This festival was brought to literary renown with the 1926 publication of Ernest Hemingway´s novel Fiesta: the sun also rises.

There are two Universities: private University of Navarre and public University of Navarre.

The typical food of Pamplona is:

- Chistorra: (txistorra in basque language) it is a type of fast-cure sausage from Aragon, the Basque Country and Navarre, Spain. It is made of minced pork, or a mixture of minced pork and beef.

- Ajoarriero: It has cod with tomato, prawns and potatoes.

 - Calimocho ( kalimotxo in basque language): Kalimotxo is a drink consisting of equal parts red wine and cola. It has become an icon of Spanish culture.

CA Osasuna is the local football team. Their home stadium is called El Sadar.
